Don’t Call Me an Eel–
I’m an American Eel
I love to eat other fish.
They’re my favorite food.
I lurk in the shadows of lakes and rivers.
I look like a monster. Yow!
You can call me that, but I don’t think I am.
I see in thermal vision when I’m hungry.
I have to eat my body weight to stay alive.
I’m dangerous.
I came from the Sargasso Sea, but I migrate to lots of other places.
My scientific name is Anguilla Rostrata.
I am the American Eel!

Baa Baa Black Sheep
(a thesaurus poem)
Baa baa jet sheep,
Have you any cashmere?
Yes, my lord, yes, my lord,
Triple sacks full.
One for the cracker jack,
One for the baroness,
And one for the peanut-sized dude
Who inhabits the place down the road.

My Arms
I like my arms.
I can do pull-ups, pushups.
I want my arms to be healthy.
My arms help me in lots of ways.
They help me do handstands, parkour,
Karate, gymnastics, . . . .
Maybe one day I can become
As strong as John Cena!

Breeze unfreezes.
Trickle, drip,
Sway, bloom,
Whistle, creep, awaken.
Baseball, football, soccer,
Running, playing, climbing,
Dancing, jumping, chirping.
The most important thing of all–
Winter’s gone!
